The Project will contribute to the energy transition and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction efforts, and thereby to the socio-economic development of the region through significant direct and indirect economic benefits for the local community.  

Pattern Canada is developing the Osgood Wind project on private lands in the Municipalities of Saint-Jacques-de-Leeds, d’Inverness, de Saint-Pierre-de-Broughton, Saint-Sylvestre, and Sainte-Agathe-de-Lotbinière, in the province of Québec. The project will bring community revenue, local jobs, and benefits lasting generations.

  • Osgood Wind represents a significant private investment that will provide widespread direct and indirect job creation and local economic benefits. 

    During construction, Osgood Wind will create over 200 jobs, including equipment operators, electricians, labourers, and other professionals from a range of disciplines. We prioritize hiring locally when possible. Once operational, approximately 7 to 10 permanent staff will operate and maintain the facility.

  • Osgood Wind will provide local families with a new reliable income source through land leases and make significant contributions to the community. The stable, long-term funding will contribute to education, community services, and more.

With an expected wind energy generation capacity of up to 150 MW, Osgood Wind will provide safe, affordable, and renewable electricity to power the needs of up to 25,000 homes in Québec yearly.
