Lost Creek Wind

DeKalb County, Missouri

Located on farm and ranch land near King City and Union Star, Lost Creek Wind sells its energy to Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. through a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement.

  • The 150 MW facility utilizes 100 American-made General Electric 1.5 MW turbines—with transformers made by ABB in Missouri—to produce electricity equal to the needs of approximately 125,000 Missourians each year.

  • Over the first 20 years of operations, Lost Creek Wind expects to contribute more than $30 million in taxes to benefit the state, DeKalb County, King City, Polk Township, and the Maysville, King City, and Union Star school districts.

Lost Creek Wind awards five annual Positive Energy scholarships to graduating high school seniors going to universities and trade schools. Contact us if you or someone you know would like to apply. Scholarship recipients are announced every year in April.

Please let us know if you have suggestions for sponsorships and local causes we can support or if your group would like a presentation about wind energy.
