Conestogo Wind

Wellington County, Ontario, Canada

Conestogo Wind Energy Centre is a 23 MW wind facility in Wellington County, Ontario, made up of 10 Siemens turbines, enough to power 5,700–7,500 homes. The project reached commercial operation in December 2012.

All of the power is sold to the Ontario Power Authority under the province’s Feed-In-Tariff program, and ownership sits with two infrastructure joint-venture partners in a 51/49 venture, operated by NextEra Energy Canadian Operating Services.
