On Friday, October 13th the Kingsville Texas Independent School District (ISD) put on their annual homecoming parade, celebrating hometown pride and the new football season.
The Kingsville Texas Youth Football League and Cheer (KTYFL) enjoys being in the parade each year, and the community enjoys it, too. Locals lined the street to cheer on the boys and girls, creating a festive atmosphere as the community came together.
This year the team at Pattern Energy’s Gulf Wind got a pleasant surprise when they were invited to join KTYFL in the paradeas one of KTYFL’s sponsors. The crew at Gulf Wind was happy to dress up one of our trucks and join the celebration.
Last year, team coordinator Laura Prado said, “Not every child’s family can always afford all the costs associated with football, and the donations from our sponsors such as Pattern really make all the difference.”
As you can see from the photo, the Pattern truck was decked out in Brahmans colors. The Gulf Wind crew had a great time being in the parade, and had an even better time seeing and connecting with their friends in the community as everyone celebrated.
Gulf Wind was honored to be part of the parade, and we’re happy to be a supporter of KTYFL.
