Leadership Clovis is a program run by the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce based in Clovis, New Mexico that meets once a month September through May and exposes the class to different companies and organizations in the greater community.
The Leadership Clovis team paid a visit to Broadview Wind and met with Facility Manager Chelsea Abner, who explained what Pattern Energy does while also showing off some of the turbines, the operations and maintenance building, and more to give the Leadership Clovis class a sense of how and why their neighbor in Curry County is important to the region and important to New Mexico.
“Chelsea was fantastic, and Broadview Wind were fantastic hosts,” said Kim Tipton, the event and membership coordinator for the Chamber.
“Broadview Wind opened their arms to our Leadership Clovis class about their work, which was eye-opening for a lot of the folks who attended,” Tipton said. “Many people don’t know a lot about renewable energy, and Chelsea taught us quite a bit. We had a great day and appreciated the openness and enthusiastic reception.”
Tipton said many of the class members commented on how much they didn’t know before their visit, how much they felt they learned after, and what a great time they had at Broadview Wind.
Pattern Energy and the Broadview Wind team are privileged to host the Leadership Clovis team, share our experience, and be an active part of the Curry County community.
